The Story It Tells

Before this class I never thought so much about a piece of art - I mean now when I look at something I ask so many questions. Why did the artist put that there? What does the color mean in this piece? I get how all of these elements end of portraying to what the artist intended for you to feel, interpret, or take away from it. The thing is and I belive that many artists struggle with this -at least beginner artists- I find myself really trying to generate awness from my pieces like "wow that piece really spoke to me" But there are so many different interpretations how do you connect with a generalized idea that everyone knows aobut? MAybe I haven't really tried hard enough in my work to have people really understand my vision-I think I jsut havent the opportunity to create a project with what I really want to do yet.
