Malena mentioned an artist residency in Greensboro called Elsewhere, which really excited me because Im from Greensboro. As I mentioned before I had never heard of an artist residency before this class. I looked it up and they have an exhibit going on that I am going to visit over spring break. But during class we discussed how identity changes thorugh history. I find that particularly interesting becasue now its so free to interpret who you are- and you will find someone that is like you- like for example, a goth in the 18th century- I dont think so, but now a days some people look up to that particular stereotype. For me I dont think I fit into a particular stereotype- maybe preppy- cuz of my clothes, but if you saw my freinds and got to know me, you wouldn't think I was preppy anymore.
